About Helen Holck...

Helen Arlene Holck was born on October 29, 1924 to Lawrence and Vernie (Silliman) Boaz in Windom, MN. She was baptized and later confirmed in the Amo United Methodist Church. She graduated from the Windom High School in the class of 1942.

On March 28, 1943, Helen was united in marriage to Leonard Holck at Helen's parent's home in Amo Township. She was a homemaker and worked as a cook and nursing assistant at Westbrook Nursing Home, and was a head cook at the Storden Public School.

Helen was involved with the Storden Senior Center and was a volunteer driver for RSVP. She enjoyed crocheting family keepsakes, was a great cook and had a wonderful sense of humor and laugh, but most of all, she loved her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Helen passed away Tuesday morning, September 23, 2008, at the Sogge Memorial Good Samaritan Society of Windom at the age of 83.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Leonard "Buzz" Holck; two daughters, Sandra Lacher and husband, Bruce, of Princeton; Rhonda Holck, of Pennock; one son, Wayne Holck and wife, Sandy, of Alexandria; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Ardith Pietz, of Marshall; and nieces and nephews.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Thelma Clarke; and one brother, Robert Boaz.

Blessed be the memory of Helen A. Holck.
