About Chad Donald Wilson...

Chad Donald Wilson, 17, of Burlington died at 9:57 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born September 5, 1992 in Burlington he was the son of Curtis L. and Kristi A. Ortega Wilson.

Chad worked at L&W Quarries in Mediapolis. He enjoyed sports, and excelled in baseball. Chad loved and lived his life for his son, Guyan. He also loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include, his father, Curtis L. Wilson of Burlington; his mother, Kristi A. Wilson of Burlington; one son, Guyan Wilson of Burlington; two sisters, Lindsey Wilson of West Burlington and Kaylee Wilson of Burlington; one brother, C.J. Wilson of Burlington; paternal grandparents, Mel and Doris Wilson of McAllen, Texas and paternal great-grandmother, Velma Berrey of West Point.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Don and Donna Ortega and his maternal great-grandmother, Isal Baxter.

Visitation will begin at noon on Monday, June 14th in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The funeral service for Chad will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 15th in Lunning Chapel. The Reverend David Steinle will officiate. Following the funeral service the body of Chad will be cremated according to his wishes.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Chad’s son Guyan.

At a later date there will also be a celebration of life gathering in honor of Chad.
