About Polly Jo Fahlgren...

Polly Jo Fahlgren, 56, of Burlington, died at 10:06 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2010, at the home of her sister in North Liberty due to a brief illness of pancreatic cancer.
Born August 4, 1954 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Robert James and Marilyn Jean Coon Fahlgren.
Ms. Fahlgren was a 1973 graduate of Danville High School and was active as a young girl in 4-H, church youth group and was basketball manager while in high school. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church,
Ms. Fahlgren spent most of her working years at Hope Haven. She enjoyed going to the Y, coffee and socializing with friends in Burlington, riding the bus, going to the public library, movies, museums and spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sisters, Beverly E. (Bill) Brauer of Maquoketa and Elaine (Jesse) Hernandez of North Liberty; one brother, Arthur “Art” C. (Wendy) Fahlgren of Burlington; nieces and nephews, Eli and Chrissy Fahlgren, Ben (Christy) and Mike Hernandez, Kristin and Zachary (Katie) Brauer; and great nephews, Dalton and Dillon Bickford.
Her parents and step mother, Sylvia Adams Fahlgren, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1st, in Faith Lutheran Church.
The funeral service for Ms. Fahlgren will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 1st, in Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Wayne Weisenbueller officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 2nd, in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for Faith Lutheran Church, Burlington Public Library and YMCA/YWCA.
