Our daughter, Liz in Ankeny sent us a clipping on the passing of Moe Kerns. He and I shared a common birth date of Jan. 13, '23. On that date we would wish each other a happy birthday when I was ed-Pub. of the News-Tribune for 15 years. Our friendship continued with infrequent contacts. He was one of my favorite people.
